White Community Hospital Rehab Services all populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Physical and Occupational Therapy
White Community Hospital Rehabilitation staff provides services in the following settings: Outpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facility, Acute and Subacute Care, Hospital Services, Home Care Services, Hospice, and School Therapy.

CT/Imaging Services
White Community Hospital's CT scan is the newest addition to our imaging department. This new technology of computed tomography makes it possible to visualize minute anatomical structures and differentiate subtle differences in healthy and diseased tissue. Not only will having this technology at White Community Hospital provide travel convenience for our scheduled patients, it will better serve the needs of suspected strokes, accidents, and/or lesions. The CT imaging department is available for day time scheduled exams along with 24 hour emergency services. White Community Hospital imaging department also provides general radiology (x-ray) services on a 24/7 basis.
Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac Rehabilitation is an outpatient program that consists of monitored exercise sessions and education to assist patients in decreasing their risk factors for heart disease. Patients come in three days a week for approximately an hour each session. They work both on the treadmill and stationary bicycle. Progress reports and heart monitor tracings are sent to the patient's physician. The length of stay in a Cardiac Rehabilitation program ranges from a few weeks to a few months depending on the patient's progress. Typically, 4 to 5 patients participate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Registered Nurses from that department and a physician.
Outpatient Surgery
Elective general surgeries are performed once a week at White Community Hospital. Cases include hernia repairs, gall bladder removal, vein stripping, colonoscopy, hemorrhoidectomy, biopsies and many other general surgery procedures. Two surgical suites complete the surgery department at White Community Hospital. Ophthalmologic surgery is also offered by both SMDC and St. Lukes Ophthamology staff several days per month.
Lab
White Community Hospital's CLIA certified lab provides a full line of services on a 24/7 basis. The lab department also maintains and oversees our blood transfusion services. The lab is available during regular business hours for outpatient appointments and after hours for emergency calls.
Other outpatient services that are provided include speech therapy, chemotherapy and IV therapy.
